Employees, Not Contractors
All Safe at Home caregivers are our employees, not independent contractors. This is an important distinction that protects families.
As an agency, we provide:
Workers’ compensation coverage
Liability insurance
Surety bonding
By choosing Safe at Home Senior Care, families are protected from personal liability and the complexities of labor and employment regulations. When care is arranged through an agency, these responsibilities are not placed on the homeowner or their insurance
Training That Goes Beyond the Minimum
In addition to state-required training, all caregivers complete a comprehensive training program before being hired and continue their education throughout their employment.
We are proud to train our caregivers in person at our dedicated training facility, the Steve Glenn Skills Center, created in honor of our founder and his commitment to quality care.
Ongoing education includes topics such as:
Fall prevention
Memory loss, Alzheimer’s, and dementia care
Recognizing and preventing abuse
Hospice and end-of-life support
Communication and compassionate caregiving
This hands-on approach helps us maintain high standards and continuously improve the quality of care we provide.
Care You Can Trust
All Safe at Home caregivers are Home Care Aides (HCAs) who meet and maintain all State of California Home Care Services Bureau requirements.
Every caregiver is:
Registered with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry
Cleared through FBI and Department of Justice background checks
Fingerprinted and fully vetted
TB tested
Required to complete ongoing annual training
In addition, we conduct:
Reference checks
DMV record checks (when driving is part of care)
We don’t cut corners—because your loved one’s safety matters.
Experience, Compassion, and the Right Fit
-

Hiring with Purpose
Many of our caregivers bring prior experience in home care, healthcare, or have cared for loved ones of their own. Just as important as experience, we look for caregivers who are patient, respectful, and genuinely compassionate.
-

Perfect Matching
As part of our matching process, we consider:
- Skills and experience
- Personality and communication style
- Client preferences and routines
-

Trust as a Priority
We always ask ourselves one simple question: “Would we trust this person to care for our own family?”
If the answer isn’t yes, they’re not a Safe at Home caregiver. -

Deliver with Confidence
When we deliver, it’s not just a finished product—it’s a solution you can trust, backed by real care and effort.
