19 In-Home Respite Visits at No Cost to You
Caring for a loved one living with dementia can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Through HōttoCare’s Medicare GUIDE Program, eligible families may receive 19 four-hour in-home respite visits with Safe at Home Senior Care at no cost to you per fiscal year.
Respite care gives family caregivers time to rest, run errands, attend appointments, or simply take a break while knowing their loved one is receiving compassionate support at home.
Who Is Eligible?
HōttoCare’s GUIDE Program is designed to support individuals living with dementia and the family members or unpaid caregivers who assist them.
You may qualify if your loved one:
Has been diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or significant cognitive decline
Is enrolled in Original Medicare (Parts A and B)
Lives in the community, such as their own home or an assisted living or personal care setting
Has a family member or other unpaid caregiver providing ongoing care or support
Is not currently enrolled in hospice or the PACE program

1. Check Your Eligibility
Contact HōttoCare to find out whether your loved one qualifies for the Medicare GUIDE Program.
2. Enroll with HōttoCare
HōttoCare will verify eligibility and connect your family with a Care Navigator who will help guide you through the program.
3. Request Respite Care
Let your HōttoCare Care Navigator know that you would like to use your respite benefit with Safe at Home Senior Care.
4. Safe at Home Coordinates Your Visits
Once your respite benefit is approved and authorized, our team will work with you and HōttoCare to coordinate your 19 four-hour visits.
How Do I Get Started?
Once you are enrolled with HōttoCare and approved for the respite benefit, Safe at Home Senior Care can provide:

Each visit provides 4 hours of caregiver support.
No Cost to You
For eligible HōttoCare participants, these approved respite visits are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to the family.
Our caregivers can provide compassionate companionship and assistance with daily activities, helping your loved one remain safe and comfortable at home while giving family caregivers time for themselves.
